About
Singapore Notary
A free, independent directory of every Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths registered with the Singapore Academy of Law, paired with a plain-English fee estimator so you know what to expect before you pick up the phone.
Why we built it
Most people only encounter notarisation when they suddenly need it. It could be an overseas job offer, a property transaction, or a declaration for a government agency. In that moment it helps to have one place to find a practitioner near you, a sense of the typical cost, and a plain English explainer of what you actually need.
If you are new to it, things can be confusing, especially around fees. The main thing to understand is that notarial fees in Singapore are not arbitrary. They are governed by the Notaries Public Rules, which prescribe fixed fees for each type of notarial act. If your document needs to be used overseas, you will also almost certainly need SAL certification, which is a mandatory step you cannot skip or shop around for.
What the fixed schedule does not cover, however, are add-ons. Some practitioners charge separately for travel to SAL, urgent turnaround, document handling, or administrative fees, all legitimately, but it means the final bill can vary more than the base rate suggests. Knowing what to ask about upfront makes a difference.
This site pulls together the 1,200+ Notaries Public and Commissioners for Oaths registered with the Singapore Academy of Law into a single searchable, map-based directory, and lets you estimate statutory fees in under a minute. The data is public and we have simply made it easier to find and use. No sign-in, no fees, no upsells.
Where our data comes from
The directory is sourced directly from the Singapore Academy of Law's public notarial registry. Statutory fees are derived from the Notaries Public Rules (Cap 208, R1) and the Commissioners for Oaths Rules under the Oaths and Declarations Act (Cap 211). Coordinates are geocoded from official postal codes using the free Singapore OneMap API.
A note on fees
The fee estimator on this site returns statutory figures only. These are the fixed rates every registered provider must charge by law. Individual firms may add separate, non-statutory fees for admin handling, courier or translation, and may or may not be GST-registered. Always confirm the all-in price with your chosen provider before signing off.
A note to practitioners
All information on this platform is drawn from publicly available SAL data. If you spot any errors such as incorrect details, missing firms, or unlisted individuals please feel free to reach out via our general contact form. We refresh our data regularly, but there may be a lag between updates made with SAL and what appears here. We'll be only to happy to fast track this process if we are informed of any issues.
